Part-time Audiologist
Job Title: Part-time Audiologist with VA Hearing Testing Experience
Location: Atlanta Georgia
Job Type: Part-time, 4 hours per week
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audiologist with specific expertise in conducting VA (Veterans Affairs) hearing testing. This part-time position involves administering and interpreting hearing tests for veterans, ensuring accurate assessments and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, empathy towards veterans, and a commitment to providing high-quality audiological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct VA hearing tests according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Administer various diagnostic assessments, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry.
- Evaluate hearing thresholds and provide detailed documentation of results.
- Interpret test findings and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop treatment plans if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of tests administered and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with VA standards and regulations regarding audiological evaluations.
- Provide counseling and education to veterans regarding hearing loss and treatment options.
- Stay updated with advancements in audiology and VA-specific practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology.
- Current state licensure or certification as an Audiologist.
- Proven experience conducting VA hearing tests is required.
- Strong understanding of audiometric equipment and testing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate demeanor and ability to work effectively with veterans.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within VA healthcare systems or familiarity with VA regulations.
- Knowledge of assistive listening devices and hearing aid technology.
Working Conditions:
